SIBU — A 57-year-old timber lorry driver, Kanang Inggai, was killed after his vehicle crashed and caught fire along a timber trail near Medsum Trading Sdn Bhd in Samarakan, Bintulu yesterday.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department received the emergency call at 1 pm. By the time firefighters arrived, company workers had extinguished the blaze, but the victim was found trapped and burned inside the lorry's cabin. His body was recovered at 2:49 pm.
