GEORGE TOWN — A Penang delegation led by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is visiting Switzerland and Austria from June 10 to 16 to study sustainable tourism and transport systems.
Hosted by Doppelmayr and Hartasuma, the trip includes meetings with officials in Bettmeralp — a car-free alpine village accessible only by cable car — and Aletsch Bahnen AG to learn about eco-friendly mobility models. The visit supports Penang’s push for sustainable mobility initiatives.
