IPOH — There is no blood shortage at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB), confirmed Perak state official Mohd Azlan Helmi, dismissing viral claims following Monday’s tragic bus crash that killed 15 UPSI students.
He urged the public not to spread unverified information that could cause panic, while appreciating the public’s willingness to help. A viral post on Threads had called for A and B blood type donors, sparking concern.
Mohd Azlan assured that if blood donations are needed, official updates will be promptly shared through proper channels. He remains committed to supporting the victims and monitoring the situation closely.
The crash at KM53 of the East-West Highway also injured 33 people, including the bus driver, assistant, and passengers of a Perodua Alza.
