KANGAR — A 40-year-old man, Mohd Mudzakkir Zainal Abidin, was charged with trafficking 365kg of syabu in Beseri, Perlis. The alleged crime took place on May 31 at a house in Kampung Belat Batu.
Charged under the Dangerous Drugs Act, he faces the death penalty or life imprisonment with a minimum of 12 strokes if not sentenced to death. No plea was recorded, and bail was denied. The case mention is set for September 22, pending the chemistry report.
