Director Karthik Subbaraj, known for hits like Pizza, Jigarthanda, Petta, and Mahaan, recently addressed criticism of his films in a viral interview.
Referring to his latest release Rebel starring Suriya, which received mixed reviews, he said, “Films never harm anyone. While stopping people from alcohol or smoking is valid, preventing them from watching films isn’t social service. Let the audience decide for themselves. God may test good films—but He never abandons them.”
