The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will charge two Sabah assemblymen and a civilian this month over a corruption case involving state mining licences.
MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that the individuals are in the process of being arrested and informed of their court dates. He added that while he could not disclose the exact date, the charges are related to a high-profile graft scandal uncovered last year.
The MACC is coordinating with the Sabah Corruption Court to finalise the prosecution date, with suspects being called in for questioning.
Responding to queries about a viral video allegedly linking the suspects, Azam explained that the investigation involves multiple forms of evidence, not just the video. The case findings have been submitted to prosecutors for further action, and more details will be shared once legal proceedings begin.
