MELAKA — A three-month-old baby who died after being accidentally pinned under his father’s arm suffered lung injuries, according to a post-mortem report.
Melaka Tengah police chief ACP Christopher Patit said the injuries were likely due to chest pressure that restricted the baby’s breathing. The case is currently classified as "pending laboratory investigation," with toxicology tests underway.
The infant's father, 35-year-old Nuruleffendy Ibrahim, died from Ischemic Heart Disease after suffering a fatal heart attack.
The tragedy occurred at their home in Kampung Perigi Hang Tuah. The father and baby were found unconscious by the man's wife, who had returned home to take their child for a routine clinic visit.
