KUALA LUMPUR — Rafizi Ramli has called on the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) to promptly refile charges against Datuk Seri Najib Razak after the court granted him a discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA) in the SRC International case involving RM27 million.

The Pandan MP criticised the prosecution’s delay since 2019, despite what he described as a clearly established money trail. He said it was especially frustrating given that Najib is already serving time for a separate SRC conviction involving RM42 million.

Rafizi urged prosecutors to avoid letting the case fade from public focus due to administrative shortcomings and stressed the public’s expectation for decisive action.

He vowed to monitor the case closely and pressed the AGC to ensure all necessary documents are ready to resume the trial without further delay.

Earlier, the High Court granted Najib a DNAA, citing the need to avoid indefinitely unresolved charges. With this, Najib’s only remaining case is the ongoing 1MDB trial.
