Ex-Selangor, KL Police Chiefs Appointed to Head Narcotics

KUALA LUMPUR — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has announced key leadership changes involving eight senior officers, effective July 21.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan has been promoted to lead Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID), while Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa will head the Commercial Crime Investigation Department.

Penang police chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad will take over as director of the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department at Bukit Aman, and Kedah police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh will become deputy director of Internal Security and Public Order (Operations/Movements).

Other notable appointments include DCP Gilberd Philip Layang as director of the Logistics and Technology Department, SAC Redzuan Abd Hamid as his deputy, and SAC Mohd Rozi Jidin as deputy director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department.

ACP Nordin Md Nor has been promoted to head the Telecommunications and Information Systems Division at Bukit Aman with the acting rank of SAC.
