SHAH ALAM — The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, has expressed disappointment over the Federal Court’s decision limiting the 2014 fatwa against Sisters in Islam (SIS) to individuals only, not the organisation.
In response, the Sultan, as Selangor’s Head of Islam, has urged SIS Forum Malaysia to stop using the word “Islam” in its name across all platforms, citing public confusion and concern over the misuse of the term.
