TELUK INTAN — A Magistrate’s Court has issued an arrest warrant for the owner of a lorry company linked to the May 13 crash that killed nine FRU officers after he failed to attend court proceedings.
The owner faces two charges under the Land Public Transport Act 2010. The case is set for mention on July 29. The Road Transport Department (JPJ) had also summoned him to appear in court.
Following the fatal crash, the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) revoked the operating licence of the lorry company, Tashveen Trading, effective May 29, 2025, after it was found to have violated safety regulations — including expired GPS, overloading, and transporting goods not permitted under its licence.
