Chennai — Thug Life, the pan-Indian action film directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan, was released earlier this month amid high expectations.
The film marked the reunion of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after nearly 37 years since their iconic film Nayakan, leading fans to anticipate another classic. However, Thug Life underperformed at the box office.
Following this, reports began circulating online claiming that director Mani Ratnam had issued an apology for the film not meeting fans’ expectations. In response, the film’s production company, Raaj Kamal Films International, clarified that Mani Ratnam had not made any such apology.
