Actor Siddharth is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 3BHK, and has been actively participating in the film’s promotional events. During one such event, Siddharth opened up about a long-standing dream: to play a role similar to Simbu's in Thotti Jaya.
Siddharth revealed, “I’ve been longing to act in a film like Thotti Jaya for the past 20 years. But I couldn't grow a beard, and that has kept me from landing such a role.” He expressed admiration for Silambarasan’s intense gangster character in the film, directed by Durai and released in 2005. Simbu was just 23 at the time, yet delivered a powerful performance that still resonates with fans today. Thotti Jaya remains one of Simbu’s most iconic films.
3BHK, directed by 8 Thottakkal fame Sri Ganesh, stars Siddharth alongside veteran actors Sarathkumar and Devayani. The film is set to release soon and has already received highly positive early reviews. Many believe it could mark a strong comeback for Siddharth after the mixed reception of his recent films like Indian 2 and Miss You.
Siddharth previously enjoyed huge success with films such as Sita Ramam and Chithha, and has also delivered hits in Telugu and Hindi. With 3BHK, both Siddharth and director Sri Ganesh are confident they have a quality film that will be celebrated in Tamil cinema.
A video of Siddharth expressing his desire to take on a Thotti Jaya-style gangster role has gone viral among Simbu fans, who are sharing it widely on social media. Despite not being able to grow a beard, Siddharth’s passion for such roles remains strong.
Fans and critics alike are expecting 3BHK to be a blockbuster, not only cementing Siddharth’s comeback but also adding another quality film to his diverse filmography.
