SUNGAI BULOH — The Health Ministry has acknowledged the heavy workload faced by doctors at referral hospitals like Sungai Buloh, after concerns emerged over long waiting times and overworked staff.
On June 30, the hospital’s Orthopaedic Specialist Clinic reportedly handled 300 people, though the ministry clarified this figure included accompanying family members or caregivers. A review confirmed that 158 actual patients were seen that day.
“We understand the challenges patients and families face, especially with waiting times, and are working to improve patient flow,” the ministry said in a statement yesterday.
