KUALA LUMPUR — The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (Miti) has found sufficient evidence that galvanised iron and steel coil and sheet imports from China, South Korea, and Vietnam were dumped at below-market prices, harming local producers.

Following a complaint by CSC Steel Sdn Bhd, Miti’s preliminary probe determined dumping margins of 3.86%–57.90%. Provisional anti-dumping duties, in the form of bank guarantees, will take effect July 7, 2025, for up to 120 days while the investigation continues.

A final decision is expected by November 3, 2025.

Miti invited importers, exporters, producers, and associations to submit feedback on the preliminary findings by July 14, 2025, via the Trade Remedies Investigation Management system at https://traderemedies.miti.gov.my/.
