MARANG — PAS leaders have dismissed speculation that party president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang plans to step down due to health concerns, calling the rumours unfounded and driven by outsiders.

Bachok MP Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman, a former aide to Hadi, said there has been no internal discussion about his resignation, and even his family and deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man support him staying on.

Syahir said Hadi’s health has improved significantly after treatment at the National Heart Institute last month, and doctors are satisfied with his recovery. Hadi has resumed his weekly lectures, attended meetings, and participated in public events, showing he is fit to continue leading PAS.

Hadi’s aides have asked the media to respect his space as he continues to recover.
