KUANTAN — Four people, including a child, were injured when a car ran a red light and crashed into three motorcycles at a junction on Jalan Pintasan Bukit Setongkol last night.
Acting Kuantan police chief Supt Mohd Adli Mat Daud said the 8.45pm crash involved a Perodua Myvi driven by a 29-year-old man from Tanjung Lumpur, who rammed into the motorcycles as they exited the junction.
The victims, aged eight to 32, included two women riders and a male pillion passenger. All were taken to Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
