KUANTAN — An army corporal reported missing during diving training at Kuantan Port on Thursday was found drowned yesterday.
Acting Kuantan police chief Supt Mohd Adli Mat Daud said the body of Cpl Mohd Haswansir Julnasir, 30, was discovered by divers at 10am on a rocky cliff about 300 metres from where he went missing.
The victim, one of four special forces divers in training, was reported missing at 3.19pm on July 3.
The three-day search and rescue operation involved the police, GGK, Royal Malaysian Navy, and Fire and Rescue Department.
