New AKPS chief Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain has vowed zero tolerance for smuggling and may propose stricter recruitment and termination procedures for officers involved in such activities. Emphasizing integrity, he aims to build a well-functioning agency and plans to upgrade facilities at 22 entry points to meet international standards. Appointed on July 1, 2025, for a two-year term, Mohd Shuhaily previously served as Police Attaché in the U.S. and CID Director at Bukit Aman.
