Actor-turned-politician Vijay, who has quit films after his final project Jananayagan (releasing next Pongal), has made a big political move coinciding with his wedding anniversary on August 25.
Vijay announced that the second state conference of his Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party will be held in Madurai on that day, following the grand first conference in Vikravandi, which drew over 1 million people.
Thanking the people and party members, Vijay said he was proud to lead the “foremost force in Tamil Nadu politics.” With Madurai being a stronghold of his fan base, all eyes are now on what unfolds next.
