Police arrested a 55-year-old man after a viral video showed him performing a lewd act at the entrance of a supermarket on Jalan Batu 4, Kluang.
Kluang police chief ACP Bahrin Mohd Noh said the incident, which occurred around 4:16pm Wednesday, was reported after the 12-second clip spread online. The suspect was arrested shortly after along Jalan Besar Mersing.
He has two prior criminal records but tested negative for drugs. The case is being investigated under Section 377D of the Penal Code for public indecency, which carries up to two years’ jail.
Police urged anyone with more information to come forward.
