Umno leaders have called on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to stop delaying the implementation of a royal addendum allowing Najib Razak to serve his prison term under house arrest.

At a meeting, 160 of 191 Umno division chiefs endorsed a statement demanding immediate action, accusing the former attorney-general of concealing the document despite the Pahang palace confirming its existence in January.

They also proposed a royal commission of inquiry into the alleged cover-up but insisted the house arrest order should take priority.

The Attorney General’s Chambers recently admitted the supplementary order exists, as the Federal Court and High Court continue hearing Najib’s legal bid to enforce it. Anwar maintains the matter is still subject to judicial process.
