Police are investigating a viral allegation by a Taiwanese woman who claimed she was extorted by officers during a roadblock in SS2, Petaling Jaya.
District police chief ACP Shahrulnizam Jaafar said the case is being probed under Section 384 of the Penal Code for extortion, and the officers involved have been identified.
He assured that misconduct will not be tolerated, as such actions damage the force’s reputation, regardless of the victim’s nationality.
