KUALA LUMPUR — The proposed amendment to the Finas Act 1981 aims to keep pace with technological advancements and digital content trends, the Communications Ministry said after a meeting with Finas yesterday.
Deputy Minister Teo Nie Ching said the move will help foster a faster, more inclusive, and sustainable growth of Malaysia’s creative industry, positioning the country as a leading regional content hub.
She also congratulated Ejen Ali The Movie 2 for becoming Malaysia’s highest-grossing animated film and praised drama series Bidaah for surpassing 2.5 billion views online.
