IPOH — A foreign woman, believed to be from Sulawesi, fled a pre-dawn immigration raid at a construction site in Persiaran Panorama Lapangan Perdana today, leaving behind her husband and two children, aged two and three.
Over 200 foreigners were screened in the joint operation by Perak Immigration and the General Operations Force, with about 120 arrested for immigration offences, said Perak Immigration director Datuk James Lee.
He urged employers to work directly with authorities and avoid middlemen. The detainees, including undocumented children, will be sent to designated facilities.
