A 14-year-old boy drowned while swimming in the Segamat River near the Walter recreational farm on Sunday afternoon.Segamat Fire and Rescue received a distress call at 4:08pm and arrived within minutes.A search operation was launched, and the boy’s body was found around 6:40pm, just five metres from where he was last seen.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was handed over to police for further action.
