The government may introduce a law to encourage or mandate MyDigital ID registration due to low voluntary participation, said Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.
She noted only 2.8 million Malaysians have registered so far, despite growing integration across 35 government systems and several banks. Security concerns following recent tech glitches were addressed, with assurances that MyDigital ID follows strict safety protocols and doesn't store personal data.Use cases like MyGOV, MyJPJ, and SIM verification are expected to drive further adoption.
