Actress Manju Warrier, known for her strong presence in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, had a life-threatening moment during the shoot of her debut film Sallapam (1996).
Co actor K. Jayan revealed that during the filming of a climax scene on railway tracks, Manju became fully immersed in her role and unknowingly moved dangerously close to a speeding train.
Jayan quickly pulled her back just in time, potentially saving her life. Though he feared the shot was ruined, the crew praised the scene’s realism. Jayan noted that without his quick action, the industry might have lost a brilliant actress that day.
