Makkal Needhi Maiam leader and actor Kamal Haasan took oath today as a Rajya Sabha MP, delivering his oath in Tamil, pledging allegiance to the Constitution and integrity of India.
Accompanied by his daughter Shruti Haasan to Parliament, Kamal later signed official documents and received greetings from the Rajya Sabha Chairman. In a statement, Kamal vowed to act with reason, responsibility, and constructive intent in his new role.
Shruti Haasan shared a touching message on Instagram, saying, “The moment your voice echoed in the House as you took oath will forever stay in my heart.”
