Since 2016, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) has produced 442 technopreneurs through its Technopreneur Diploma programme, generating RM120.8 million in sales, the Dewan Negara was told on Monday. Deputy Minister Datuk Rubiah Wang said the programme at MARA Skills Institute (IKM) covers fields like electrical, fashion, textiles, furniture, landscaping, and air-conditioning. Students must register a business, with sales performance used to measure success instead of traditional grades. One standout example: 28 electrical field graduates from IKM Seberang Perai Utara raked in RM45.1 million and created 121 jobs.
