Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Malaysia is ready to engage key Muslim leaders through the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to collectively condemn Israel’s escalating violence and human rights abuses. Speaking after officiating the 9th International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (ICOSH 2025), Anwar said he may personally contact leaders such as Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. His remarks follow Israel’s recent airstrike in Doha, which allegedly targeted Hamas leaders discussing a U.S.-backed ceasefire plan. Anwar said Israel’s actions have “gone far beyond the limits of decency.”
