In the ongoing inquest into the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir, the Coroner’s Court heard that a close friend of the late student, referred to as Student A, saw her before emergency services arrived. Azhari Abd Sagap, chief warden of SMKA Tun Datu Mustapha, confirmed Student A was present when Zara was found unconscious around 3am on July 16. He testified that he had called Student A after receiving a message from her mother. The witness also revealed that Student A moved out of the school just weeks later. The inquest continues under Coroner Amir Shah Amir Hassan in Kota Kinabalu.
