The body of Masdeh Rasmin, a 35-year-old Sabah Electricity worker who was swept away by strong currents in Apin-Apin, Keningau, has been found. Volunteers from Team Gallon Star recovered his body at 6:18 pm in Sungai Kampung Liau Laut, about 21 kilometers from the accident site. The search intensified after Masdeh’s shoe was discovered near Kampung Linsudan. Known for their resourcefulness, the volunteer group used makeshift floaters to navigate the swollen river during the rescue operation. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department director Mohd Pisar Aziz confirmed the recovery, marking the end of a two-day search effort.
