KUALA LUMPUR — Major roads around Merdeka Stadium here will be closed and diverted in stages from 2 pm this Saturday in conjunction with the 2025 Sultan of Selangor Cup football match between Selangor and Singapore.

Kuala Lumpur Police deputy chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad said the roads were Jalan Maharajalela (Merdeka Roundabout), Jalan Hang Tuah (entry to Jalan Hang Jebat), Jalan Hang Jebat, Jalan Stadium and Jalan Merdeka.

“A total of 115 officers and personnel from the Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) will ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of supporters,” he said in a statement today.

He advised road users to plan their journeys, comply with police instructions at the locations and use public transport to avoid congestion.
