KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 11 — Korean singer, songwriter and actor Seo In Guk has long been a beloved figure in the Korean entertainment industry, capturing hearts across the globe with his emotional performances and undeniable talent.
Whether through soulful tracks like Out of Time or My Love, or through memorable on-screen roles — such as Yoon Yoon-jae in Reply 1997 (2012) and Choi Yi-jae in Death’s Game (2023–2024) — the star continues to move and inspire his dedicated fandom, fondly known as Heartriders.
As part of his much-anticipated Heart Cookie Fan Meet Tour 2025, Seo made his first visit to Malaysia, where a media interview was held at the HGH Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Sharing his excitement about being in the country for the first time, Seo said there were many firsts he hoped to experience.
“Firstly, I’d like to take a picture in front of the Petronas Twin Towers, then, I would want to try roti canai,” he said.
He also hoped fans would enjoy the show and looked forward to creating special moments together.
At the press conference, the star was also asked about the rapidly evolving entertainment industry, and what advice he would give to fellow actors on staying relevant and keeping their audiences engaged.
He shared his personal philosophy by stating: “There are many people in the entertainment world who are incredibly skilful and entertaining.
“For me, staying exciting to the audience and receiving their love comes down to two key things, which is staying skilful and always seeking improvement.
“As a singer, I work hard to improve my vocal skills.
“As an actor, I continuously refine my acting,” he said.
He added that when fans see that growth — when they see that you’re evolving, they will stay curious and keep following your journey.
Seo’s presence in Malaysia marks a special moment not just for his local fans, but also for the star himself — as he continues to explore new places, meet global fans, and showcase his artistry to the world.
