KUALA LUMPUR – In a powerful demonstration of corporate social responsibility and national unity, the Malik Streams Group of Companies has officially contributed a total of RM1.1 million to two major royal foundations under the patronage of the Johor Royal Family.
Royal Audience with His Majesty
The founder of Malik Streams Group, Datuk Abdul Malik Dasthigeer, was granted an official audience with His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at the Istana Negara today. During the meeting, Datuk Abdul Malik personally presented a replica cheque for RM1 million to His Majesty. The King, known for his hands-on approach to welfare, personally accepted the contribution on behalf of the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ).
Empowering the Community
The RM1 million donation to Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor is set to fuel the foundation's extensive social welfare programs. These initiatives include:
- Disaster Relief: Providing immediate aid to victims of floods and natural disasters.
- Essential Support: Distribution of food baskets and daily necessities to underprivileged families (B40).
- Healthcare & Education: Improving access to medical equipment and educational resources for students in need across the state. Supporting the Indian Community
In addition to the main contribution, Malik Streams Group also channeled RM100,000 to Yayasan Sultanah Rogayah (YSR). This specific foundation is dedicated to the socio-economic development of the Indian community in Johor. The funds will assist in:
- Entrepreneurship: Providing platforms and resources for small Indian business owners.
- Education & TVET: Offering scholarships and vocational training to youth.
- Welfare Assistance: Helping single mothers and low-income households within the community.
