The investigation, confirmed by MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, focuses on projects awarded through the Ministry of Defence. Authorities have already conducted raids across the Klang Valley, Perak, and Penang, seizing documents and questioning several high-ranking individuals.

The probe follows allegations of "monthly deposits" involving tens of thousands of ringgit being funneled into accounts linked to senior military officials. The MACC is looking into whether these payments were made in exchange for awarding lucrative contracts without proper oversight or competitive bidding.

This case has reignited public concern over transparency in national security spending. The government has vowed to cooperate fully, asserting that no one—regardless of their rank—is above the law when it comes to the misuse of public funds.
