To improve the daily commute for thousands of Klang Valley residents, Rapid Bus has officially launched its new real-time fleet management system today. Commuters can now track the exact location of buses and receive accurate arrival times via a newly updated mobile application.
The upgrade is intended to address one of the most common complaints among public transport users: the unpredictability of bus schedules. The system uses GPS data from the entire fleet to provide updates every 30 seconds, allowing users to plan their journeys more effectively.
Initial feedback from commuters this morning has been largely positive, with many reporting a reduction in waiting times at major bus hubs. Rapid Bus plans to expand this system to other major cities in Malaysia, including Penang and Johor Bahru, by the end of the year.
