U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a significant telephone conversation today aimed at easing escalating trade and diplomatic tensions. President Trump described the call on social media as "very productive," noting that the two leaders discussed sensitive topics including Taiwan, soybean exports, and new tariffs.

Following the call, Taiwan’s President emphasized that relations with the U.S. remain "rock solid," despite the high-level dialogue between Washington and Beijing. This conversation comes as South Korea and other Asian allies brace for prolonged tariff pressure under the current U.S. administration's "America First" trade policies.
