The Malaysian Ministry of Communications has officially announced a new wave of Digital Content Grants specifically aimed at local Tamil and Malayalam film productions. This initiative is designed to elevate the production quality of home-grown Indian content to meet international streaming standards.

Prominent directors and producers have noted that this financial support will allow for better technical equipment and higher marketing budgets, which have traditionally been stumbling blocks for local productions.
