Malaysian squash star S. Sivasangari has advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2026 Windy City Open in Chicago. The sixth-seeded national ace secured her spot among the final eight after a hard-fought victory over Egypt’s Kenzy Ayman, winning the match 11-5, 11-4, 10-12, 11-6 in a 36-minute encounter.

This victory was particularly significant as it marked Sivasangari’s 200th career win on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour. While she remains the only Malaysian left in the tournament following the exits of teammates Ng Eain Yow and Aira Azman, her dominant form has established her as a serious title contender in this year's major event.

The path ahead does not get easier, as she is scheduled to face the third-seeded world champion, Nour El Sherbini of Egypt, later today. Sivasangari will need to maintain her high-intensity play to overcome the Egyptian favorite, who currently holds a slight edge in their head-to-head history.
