In a historic announcement, Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller Sinners has broken the record for the most Oscar nominations for a single film, securing 16 nods. This surpasses the previous record of 14 held by Titanic, La La Land, and All About Eve. The film is nominated for major categories including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan, alongside record-setting nominations for costume designer Ruth E. Carter.
Close behind is Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another, which earned 13 nominations and is currently the frontrunner for Best Picture after wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. Other notable Best Picture nominees include Hamnet, Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, and F1. The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O'Brien, will air live on March 15, 2026.
