In a major update for Malayalam cinema, actor Fahadh Faasil officially confirmed today that he will play the primary antagonist in the upcoming thriller Patriot. The film is a historic collaboration featuring both superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, and is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 23, 2026. Fahadh revealed the news during a public event, adding that he is thrilled to face off against the two legends in what is described as a high-stakes spy thriller. 

Furthermore, Fahadh provided a long-awaited update on his blockbuster hit Aavesham, confirming that Aavesham 2 is officially in development. While fans are eager for the sequel, he indicated that it is likely to hit theaters in 2027 or 2028. For now, the focus remains on Patriot, with the makers confirming that Mohanlal has already completed dubbing for his crucial portions.
