The 2026 Formula 1 "launch season" has reached its peak as all teams have now unveiled their challengers for the upcoming season, which features a massive regulatory overhaul. Mercedes revealed the first images of its W17 car today, February 12, featuring a striking black and mint green livery to be driven by George Russell and rookie Kimi Antonelli. Technical experts in Bahrain have already noted significant innovations, such as Audi's dramatically redesigned sidepods.

Pre-season testing is officially underway at the Bahrain International Circuit from February 11–13, with a final testing window set for next week. This season marks the debut of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and a return to the number 1 for world champion Lando Norris at McLaren. The 2026 cars are narrower and more nimble, introducing new features like a "Boost Button" and "Overtake Mode".
