Australian tennis star Alex de Minaur claimed his 11th career ATP title by defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime 6–3, 6–2 in the final of the 2026 Rotterdam Open. After losing in the final of this tournament for two consecutive years to Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz respectively, de Minaur finally broke through in the Dutch indoor event, moving himself up to world number seven in the latest ATP rankings.

The victory marks a significant momentum shift for the Australian, who had faced a difficult start to the season following a heartbreaking exit in Melbourne. De Minaur did not face a single break point throughout the final, showcasing a vastly improved service game that allowed him to dominate the baseline rallies against the Canadian sixth ranked Auger Aliassime.

Meanwhile, world number one Carlos Alcaraz is set to return to the court this week at the Qatar Open in Doha. Alcaraz has been out of action since February 1st, when he became the youngest man in history to complete a career Grand Slam by defeating Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final. His return is highly anticipated as he looks to extend his lead at the top of the rankings over Djokovic and Sinner.
