The alert specifically covers Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, and Sibu. The bad weather conditions have already impacted traffic flow in some regions, and authorities have advised the public to remain vigilant during their Chinese New Year travels.
