The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued a total of 7,414 notices to motorcyclists since the start of its "Ops TBC 2026" special operation on February 9. The operation, conducted in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festive season, aims to reduce road accidents and ensure compliance with traffic safety regulations during the high-travel period.

In a related incident, a woman was caught riding against the flow of traffic in Kuala Lumpur in an attempt to evade a JPJ roadblock during "Op Falcon". Authorities have reiterated that they will take firm action against those who endanger other road users, especially as traffic volume remains high due to the festive exodus.
