The number of flood victims in Kinta, Perak, has decreased to just 11 people from five families as of 8:00 AM today, down from 26 victims yesterday. All remaining evacuees are currently sheltered at the Dewan Kampung Tengku Hussein Manjoi relief centre. Despite the receding water, authorities have warned residents to remain vigilant as the Malaysian Meteorological Department has forecast further rain for several districts in Perak this morning.

Current hydrological data shows that Sungai Bidor in Changkat Jong and Sungai Slim in Slim River remain at "danger" levels. The Perak State Disaster Management Secretariat has already prepared short-term measures to address potential flash floods if the heavy rainfall continues through the weekend.
