French President Emmanuel Macron kicked off his state visit to India by hosting a cinema-themed lunch in Mumbai with several of Bollywood's biggest names. Prominent attendees included Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Manoj Bajpayee, and director Zoya Akhtar. Discussions focused on strengthening Indo-French cinematic collaborations and promoting independent storytelling across both nations. 

President Macron's visit highlights the growing economic and cultural ties between the two countries' film industries. Following his morning engagement with the Mumbai film fraternity which even included an early morning jog on Marine Drive Macron traveled to Delhi to continue his three day diplomatic mission.
