The latest round of "difficult" peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Geneva ended today after just two hours without reaching a breakthrough. Ukrainian officials, including President Zelenskyy, expressed frustration, alleging that they were facing "unfair pressure" during the talks, while Russian negotiators highlighted the deep divide that remains between the two nations. 

While the meetings concluded abruptly, global leaders continue to watch the situation closely as the war enters its 1,456th day. Despite the lack of an immediate ceasefire, some observers noted that the continued dialogue—however brief—remains the only active diplomatic channel between the warring parties.
